For one DoD customer we are performing IT Infrastructure (ITI) modernization and transformation of legacy information systems that increase IT efficiencies, and security posture, while significantly reducing complexity and total life cycle costs. Below are several examples of Unified Communications (UC) design solutions recently deployed:
Design, Develop, Test and Deploy a next generation (NxGen) UC Collaboration transformation strategy to upgrade our Customer’s legacy H.323 based Video Tele-Conferencing (VTC) system. Then converge and simplify two disparate voice and video dial plans into a single SIP based virtualized Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) centric SIP based call control solution, while simultaneously invoking an x.509v3 CA signed Certificate based PKI security implementation across all voice and video servers, gateways and end-points. Enable fully secure end to end voice and video session authentication and encryption using TLSv1.2 and SRTP, while also segregating voice and video user groups into secure isolated Communities of Interests (COIs) for enhanced levels of security posture. Additionally, virtualized Cisco Meeting Server (CMS) Secure Rendezvous and Ad-Hoc voice and video conferencing was integrated into the solution.
Design, Develop, Test and Deploy a custom point to multi-point Service Provider (SP) style Session Border Controller (SBC) and SIP-Trunking solution into several newly deployed Enterprise Data Centers with connectivity to remote partner-controlled VoIP and VTC call control systems.
Design, Develop, Test and Deploy a highly secure Cross Domain System (CDS) voice & video (V&V) Collaboration Hub Proof of Concept boundary security architecture using Trident/OWL V2CDS 2.0, Cisco CUCM 10.5.2, Cisco CUBE 11.5 and SIP-Trunking technologies to rapidly inter-connect multiple secure global voice and video domains within a short 90-day period. Enabled enhanced Executive Management level secure collaboration without building out an entirely new and expensive global “green field” UC network infrastructure.
Developed UC Collaboration COOP/DR Architecture Plan and design proposal for Customer as a solution to a Main Enterprise Data Center catastrophic scenario. Project was approved and was added to the UC Capabilities Roadmap.
